Caring in the Workplace
Pray Pray Pray
“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer”.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
1 Peter 4:7-11
Here are five elements that the Bible says are essential to having God Hear and answer our prayers. If we do these things, we can be sure that our prayers will be answered. Pray with faith; pray without ceasing; persistence prayer; righteous prayer; and praying according to God’s Will.
“And this is the confidence that we have before Him. If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”
1 John 5:14-15
The point here is to accomplish God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. Thus, central to praying properly is the idea of aligning our hearts and minds with the heart and mind of God.
This year’s Prayer Brunch will be one to remember. There will be praise dancers, singing, speakers and plenty of food for the soul. Donations will be $10 per person for this exciting event. Your donation will also give you a chance in winning the quilt to be drawn at the next union meeting of August 16, 2008. For ticket information please contact Herb Taylor or Mike Flores. Several chaplain assistants will also have tickets throughout the plant. You may also purchase tickets or make donations at the Union Hall.
